Ecclesiarch / Morbid Beauty Split

Nicholas G. What a trip of a split. Morbid Beauty starts off with glitchy harsh noise with samples interspersed. This works remarkably well, as it gives a unique dynamic to the material. This really builds a sort of “story” to this side of the split. Ecclesiarch continues the harshness but from a more subtle angle. Noisy hissing atmospheres collide with crackling synth lines. Really dig this sort of thing. It’s dark ambient pulled to its extremities. Kudos to both artists on this one!

about

A word from Ecclesiarch:
"I would like to dedicate my half of this split to the spirits of Lowther's Hill Cemetery. Many good and brave souls were laid to rest there over the past several hundred years, only to find their rest so needlessly interrupted by cruel and prideless criminals. Lowther's Hill—or "Montrose," as it is known colloquially—is a place that means a lot to me. While I may not have family there, its cemetery has been a place of utter contentment, fascination, and joy for me throughout the years—joy that I like to think I've shared with the specters that still roam its hallowed grounds."
